Since our registration in January 2004, our MAJOR achievements are as
follows:

Organised various fund raising activities to
promote U-Link’s objectives. Please

Organised various seminars and workshops in
view of raising public awareness and concern on issues affecting
disability among children and as well as to
disseminate information
regarding facilities available to help and assist these
children.

Organised various outing and educational tours for needy
children.

Compiled and published (in 3000 copies)
a booklet - Guide to Disability 06/07

that list all existing centres which cater
for disabled children – day care centres, resource centres, etc.
It also includes information on each
of these centres, including speciality catered for, age groups,
therapies, and any other relevant details.

Our
members have been visiting almost all major NGOs that cater for
disability needs in Mauritius. The aim of these visits were to
identify the needs of these NGOs in a view to be a helping hand
in their endeavor.
